Engine Overview and Common Failures

The most well-known problem of the unit is knocking in the cylinder-piston group. The manufacturer replaced the pistons under warranty, but over time the problem returned. The timing chain can stretch up to 100-150 thousand kilometers, but it depends on the driving style. The exhaust manifold often cracks, and welding does not help it for long. The left engine mount and throttle body also have a relatively short lifespan.
