Engine Overview and Common Failures

This power unit is considered quite reliable, but it has a couple of weak points. In winter, oil often squeezes out through the dipstick due to crankcase ventilation freezing. Lubrication also frequently leaks from other places, especially under the valve cover. Replacing the timing belt kit is very expensive, and if it breaks, it can cause valve damage. Additionally, we should note the constant throttle contamination, as well as the low service life of the DPF.
