Engine Overview and Common Failures

This engine is structurally simple and reliable, and most of its breakdowns are due to old age. The most difficult thing you can encounter here is repairing the Digijet control unit. The ignition system components and EGR also have a relatively low lifespan. The fuel pressure regulator and throttle assembly occasionally require attention. In winter, the crankcase ventilation system may freeze, causing oil to be forced out through the dipstick.
