Engine Overview and Common Failures

A simple and quite reliable power unit rarely bothers its owners. The lion's share of breakdowns here falls on ignition system failures. The electrical components that often malfunction are the distributor cap and spark plugs, as well as the idle control valve. The timing belt is designed for approximately 90,000 km, and if it breaks, it can bend the valves. After a mileage of 250 - 300 thousand km, oil consumption often begins due to ring deposits.
