Engine Overview and Common Failures

The main problems that owners face are malfunctions in the monoinjection system. It is common to struggle with leaks of lubricant or coolant. Motor speed often fluctuates due to throttle or air intake contamination. Lambda sensors and coolant temperature sensors frequently fail here more than any other component. At around 200,000 km, piston rings or caps usually wear out and oil consumption increases.
