Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the CDVC engine according to the catalog is 188 kg. The CDVC engine number is located to the left of the crankshaft pulley. It is a reliable engine and owners only complain about high fuel consumption. Like all engines with direct injection, this one suffers from carbon deposits on the intake valves. It occasionally fails and requires the replacement of the crankcase ventilation membrane system. The timing chain drive is very durable and requires replacement after 250,000 km mileage. Pressure increase and leaks from the fuel injection pump can rarely occur due to the failure of the regulator.
