Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the LFY engine according to the catalog is 175 kg. The LFY engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. It is a very reliable engine, but it requires more frequent oil changes. If the lubricant is updated according to the regulations, the timing chain tensioners will last longer. Like all units with direct injection, it suffers from carbon deposits on the intake valves. All engines in this series are very sensitive to overheating, and radiators tend to leak regularly. Moreover, this engine was also affected by a major recall campaign for High Feature engines.
