It is a strong and long-lasting diesel, but quite noisy and vibration-loaded. The Denso fuel system is quite reliable, but it requires high-quality diesel fuel. The timing chain lasts for a long time, however, its hydraulic tensioner may fail by 200,000 km. Many problems of this power unit can be solved after cleaning the EGR valve. It is necessary to periodically adjust the valves, as there are no hydraulic compensators here.
