Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the FS-ZE engine according to the catalog is 138.2 kg. The engine number FS-ZE is located at the junction with the transmission. Despite its high performance, this engine is reliable and has a good lifespan. The engine is most afraid of overheating, as it immediately leads to a blown aluminum head. After 150,000 km, oil consumption often appears, up to 1 liter per 1000 km. The timing belt should be replaced every 60,000 km, but it will not bend in case of valve failure. There are no hydraulic lifters, and the valve clearances should be adjusted every 100,000 km.
