Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the L3-VE engine according to the catalog is 130 kg. The engine number L3-VE is located at the back, at the junction of the engine and the gearbox. The most well-known problem of this engine is high oil consumption. The complex intake manifold flap system also causes many problems here. The thermostat, water pump, lambda sensor, and engine mounts also have a modest lifespan. After 200-250 thousand km, attention may be required for the timing chain and phase regulator. Valve adjustment using measuring cups should be done every 90,000 km.
