Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the N43 engine according to the catalog is 130 kg. The N43 engine number is located at the junction of the block and the head. The engine is equipped with a direct fuel injection system and many problems are associated with it. Expensive injectors quickly fail here due to poor quality gasoline. The cause of uneven engine operation may also be a malfunction of the ignition coils. This power unit gets very hot, cheap oil in it can simply coagulate. Flanges and pipes of the cooling system often crack and require special control. At a mileage of 50-70 thousand km, the vacuum pump often starts leaking and needs replacement. The timing belt has a low lifespan, especially when it comes to Double VANOS components.
