The most common cause of engine seizure is the loss of elasticity in the oil pump chain. The plastic cup of the oil filter with a heat exchanger cracks and leaks. Fuel injectors quickly become clogged with dirt, leading to strong vibrations. The flow meter and idle control valve are not known for their high durability.
