Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the N20 engine according to the catalog is 137 kg. The engine number N20 is located on the front cover. Due to insufficient performance of the oil pump, these engines often seize up. The most common cause of engine seizure is the loss of elasticity in the oil pump chain. The plastic cup of the oil filter with a heat exchanger cracks and leaks. Fuel injectors quickly become clogged with dirt, leading to strong vibrations. The flow meter and idle control valve are not known for their high durability.
