Engine Overview and Common Failures

The dry weight of the G4HC engine according to the catalog is 83.9 kg. The engine number G4HC is located on the right, at the junction with the gearbox. It is not a very durable engine, but it is reliable and does not have major issues. The main cause of fluctuating RPM is throttle or MAF contamination. Also, the wiring insulation often cracks, causing the engine to misfire. Due to weak tension, the generator belt constantly slips off and needs adjustment. Around 200,000 km, the engine requires an overhaul, fortunately there are repair dimensions available.
