Engine Overview and Common Failures

The G4KR engine number is located at the junction with the gearbox. This power unit has recently appeared and there is no statistics of malfunctions yet. The presence of a combined fuel injection system here solves the problem of valve coking. The lifespan of the timing chains is still unknown, as they tend to wear out quickly in turbocharged engines. The engine turned out to be quite hot, so it will be necessary to monitor the cooling system. Variable capacity oil pump units do not add reliability.
