The weight of the G4KC engine according to the catalog is 146.1 kg. The G4KC engine number is located at the front, at the junction with the gearbox. Due to the turning of the inserts, a balance shaft and oil pump block are installed in the engine to reduce vibrations, in which the inserts wear out quickly and the reduction valve gets clogged with shavings. The drop in lubrication pressure often leads to the inserts turning and the engine wedging. Oil consumption is rarely caused by scoring due to the entry of catalyst particles into the cylinders in these engines, the main cause of oil consumption is wear, as well as the oval shape of weak cast iron liners. The stiffness of the aluminum cylinder block with an open cooling jacket is not high. The timing chain in this engine is designed for the entire service life of the motor, but for very active drivers it can stretch up to 100,000 km, which leads to its skipping and bending of valves.
