Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the G4CP engine is 154.5 kg (without attachments). The engine number G4CP is located on the cylinder block. The main problems of the engine are related to the low lifespan of the timing belt and balancing. The breakage of any of these belts usually results in valve and piston collision. Hydraulic compensators do not like cheap oil and can start ticking even before reaching 100,000 km. Floating idle speeds due to throttle contamination are also common. Engine supports have a relatively short service life and the exhaust manifold often cracks.
