Engine Overview and Common Failures

According to the catalog, the weight of the G4NL engine is 114 kg. The engine number G4NL is located at the front, at the junction with the gearbox. The potential weak points of this power unit have not yet been identified as it has just been introduced and there is no data on malfunctions yet. Cooling oil injectors for pistons are provided here, so the problem of scuffing should not be acute. However, the timing chain did not become thicker, so its lifespan is unlikely to have significantly increased. Among the potential weak points of the engine, we can mention the new electronically controlled thermostat, bearings with a polymer coating, and a variable displacement oil pump.
