The weight of the XUD9SD engine according to the catalog is 150 kg. The engine number for XUD9SD is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. The main problem of the engine lies in the low positioning of the expansion tank, which results in a lack of coolant leading to cylinder head gasket failure. If the fuel filter replacement schedule is not followed, the injection pump will fail. It is not uncommon for the fuel filter cup to break during replacement, and it is quite expensive. Approximately every 100,000 km, valve clearances need to be adjusted. The use of cheap oil quickly affects the condition of the engine turbine. There are cases described online of valve seats dropping into the cylinders at very high mileage.
