Engine Overview and Common Failures

The dry weight of the EB0 engine according to the catalog is 70 kg. The EB0 engine number is located at the front where it meets the gearbox. A recall campaign was conducted for these engines due to axial play in the crankshaft. There have been numerous complaints on the specialized forum about oil consumption after 100,000 km mileage. However, the main problem of the engine is the timing belt, which is located in the oil sump. It wears out very quickly and its wear debris clogs the oil channels. That's why the oil pump in the units of this series does not serve for a particularly long time.
