Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine weight of the Mazda F8 according to the catalog is 155.4 kg. The engine number of the Mazda F8 is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. Carbureted versions without proper tuning consume a lot of fuel. Versions with injectors are more reliable, with the main problems being related to the ignition system. On high mileage, oil consumption due to piston ring deposit can often occur. The timing belt usually lasts around 60,000 km, but if it breaks, it won't bend the valves. Hydraulic lifters do not tolerate cheap oil and may start ticking before reaching 50,000 km.
