Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number ALZ is located on the right, at the junction of the engine with the gearbox. The most common issues are fluctuating RPM and vibrations. Cleaning the injectors or throttle helps to eliminate unstable engine operation. Another possible cause may be worn sealing gaskets in the intake manifold. The second most popular problem is malfunctions in the crankcase ventilation system. Closer to 200,000 km, oil consumption often starts due to wear of piston rings or valve seals.
