Engine Overview and Common Failures

This turbocharged engine is prone to detonation, it is recommended to use gasoline with octane rating 95 or 98. Additionally, this unit often overheats, so keep an eye on its radiators. The ignition system causes a lot of problems, especially the coils and their tips. The timing belt and chain should be replaced every 100,000 km or in case of valve failure. Turbos and hydraulic compensators frequently fail after reaching 200,000 km.
