Engine Overview and Common Failures

This turbo engine cannot withstand low-quality fuel, cheap oils, and frequent overheating. All of the mentioned factors quickly lead to cylinder scuffing. Saving on lubrication reduces the already limited lifespan of the turbines to 70-100 thousand kilometers. Fuel leaks from the fuel pump are also common here, which can mix with the oil. Weak points also include active engine supports and upper timing chain tensioners.
