Engine Overview and Common Failures

This is an engine with an aluminum block and it is very sensitive to overheating and incorrect fuel. Poor maintenance and overheating can lead to scoring in the cylinders. Saving on oil can result in the failure of hydraulic compensators. Follow the timing belt replacement schedule, as its breakage can damage the valves. Oil leaks are also common, especially at the junction of the engine and the automatic transmission.
