Engine Overview and Common Failures

A simple and reliable power unit rarely bothers its owners. The culprit of the fluctuating engine speed is often the contamination of injectors or throttle. Periodically, the vacuum regulator of the intake manifold dampers may also get stuck. As for the electrical system, lambda sensors, EGR valves, and shut-off valves are the most common components to fail. The crankcase ventilation system can also cause a lot of problems if it becomes temperamental.
