Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 7M-GTE engine according to the catalog is 210 kg. The engine number 7M-GTE is located to the right of the oil filter. One known issue with the engine is the head gasket failure in the area of the 6th cylinder. One solution is to grind the mating surface under the metal gasket. Additionally, the engine's lifespan is shortened by insufficient oil pump performance. Another weak point is considered to be the outdated and temperamental ignition system. Valves need to be adjusted every 50,000 km using shim selection.
