Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the ZL-VE engine according to the catalog is 129.7 kg. The engine number ZL-VE is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. This simple and reliable engine only fears lack of timely maintenance. If spark plugs are not replaced in time, you will also have to spend money on ignition coils. The timing belt should be changed every 60,000 km according to the schedule, but it does not bend in case of valve failure. There are no hydraulic compensators here and valve adjustment is required every 100,000 km. At high mileage, oil consumption can occur due to worn oil control rings.
