Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the X20SED engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The engine number X20SED is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. There are minimum complaints about the unit, its main problems are leaks and unstable RPM. The reason for the unstable idle operation is contamination of the PCV or crankcase ventilation. The exhaust manifold has low reliability, often it simply cracks. The weak point in the electrical part is the camshaft position sensor. The timing belt has a lifespan of approximately 60,000 kilometers, and if it breaks, the valves are always affected.
