Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the T22SED engine according to the catalog is 145 kg. The engine number T22SED is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The main drawback is considered to be the limited lifespan of the timing belt, and in case of its rupture, valve interference occurs. The second most popular engine failure is often a cracked exhaust manifold. Electrical issues regularly arise, with DPRV or DPV valves being the most common failures. The reason for the engine's fluctuating RPM is usually due to contamination of the PCV, CKP, or EGR valve. The use of cheap oil quickly affects the condition of the hydraulic lifters.
