Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine weight of the L3C1 according to the catalog is 130 kg. The engine number L3C1 is located at the back, at the junction of the engine and transmission. Most complaints on specialized forums are related to excessive lubrication consumption. The second most common problem is with the intake manifold flaps. Weak spots of the motor also include the thermostat, water pump, lambda sensor, and engine supports. After 200,000 km, it's not uncommon for the timing chain to stretch and the phase regulator to fail. Don't forget to adjust the valves every 90,000 km, there are no hydraulic compensators here.
