Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the AJ-VE engine according to the catalog is 175 kg. The engine number AJ-VE is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. This motor has no reliability issues, but many are not satisfied with the fuel consumption. Spark plugs, coils, and fuel pumps quickly fail due to poor quality fuel. The cooling radiators and water pump have a relatively short service life. Oil leaks in the area of the oil pan or cylinder head covers are very common. After 200,000 km, piston rings usually become worn and lubricant consumption increases.
