Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the M1JE engine according to the catalog is 97 kg. The engine number M1JE is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most common breakdown is the cracking of the cooling system pipes. Oil condensation around the valve cover is also frequently found here. Injectors get clogged and intake valves carbonize due to poor fuel quality. After 100,000 km, the hole for the bypass valve turbine shaft breaks. There are no hydraulic lifters here and the valve clearances are adjusted by selecting pushrods.
