Engine Overview and Common Failures

The R9DA engine has a weight of 140 kg according to the catalog. The engine number R9DA is located at the back, at the junction of the block and the gearbox. Turbocharged Focuses are rare and there is little information about their breakdowns. This engine is extremely demanding in terms of fuel quality and the oil used, therefore the main complaints are related to failures of the fuel system components.
