Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the TPBA engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The TPBA engine number is located at the back, at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most well-known issue with this engine is the destruction of the exhaust manifold. Fragments from the exhaust are pulled into the turbine, quickly causing it to fail. The direct injection injectors also frequently become contaminated and the valves get carbonized. Incorrect choice of oil reduces the lifespan of the phase regulators to 80-100 thousand km. Additionally, these turbo engines occasionally experience piston burnout due to detonation.
