The most well-known issue of this engine is the piston failure in the second cylinder. Overheating due to a broken electromechanical clutch in the pump comes in second place. Fuel injectors tend to clog quickly and intake valves can become carbonized. The turbine of this engine is quite reliable, but its pipes are often replaced under warranty. There are no hydraulic compensators, so remember to periodically adjust the valve clearances.
