Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the JZDA engine according to the catalog is 175 kg. The JZDA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. There is not much information available on the internet about the malfunctions of these rare engines. The engines of this series are most often affected by crankcase ventilation contamination. If the PCV valve diaphragm is not replaced in time, oil will leak onto the belt. These units also dislike poor fuel and quickly wear out spark plugs and coils. Some owners complain that they have had to replace the turbocharger twice within a mileage of 100,000 km.
