Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the JQDA engine according to the catalog is 120 kg. The JQDA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. A recall campaign was announced for this engine due to the risk of fire. The electromechanical clutch in the cooling system pump can cause a fire. The engine is very sensitive to overheating, immediately blowing the gasket and causing block damage. For the same reason, the valve cover becomes warped and starts leaking oil. When noise appears, it is necessary to adjust the thermal clearances of the valves.
