Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the EYDC engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The engine number EYDC is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. On the old firmware, the power of the engine significantly drops when the air conditioner is turned on. The timing belt and its tensioner have a low service life, and in case of valve failure, it bends. When experiencing traction failures, it is worth starting the search for causes from the fuel pump and its two filters. Take care of the aluminum engine oil pan, as it hangs low and does not withstand impacts. There are no hydraulic compensators, so you will have to adjust the valve clearances yourself.
