Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the SEA engine according to the catalog is 170 kg. The SEA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. The units in this series are very reliable but too fuel-hungry for such power. The main problems of the engine are related to overheating, usually due to a pump failure. The second most common issue here is the fuel pump outlet. Regular cleaning of the crankcase ventilation is necessary, or the engine will sweat oil. Timing chain tensioners and hydraulic compensators are afraid of poor lubrication.
