Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the CNCD engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The CNCD engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. Most of the breakdowns of this motor are related to a drop in oil pressure in the system. The usual reason is clogged mesh filters of the bearings or oil pump failures. There have been cases of piston cracking due to detonation, and replacing them with forged ones helps. The timing chain also tends to stretch quickly and the phase regulation system fails. There are many problems with the cooling system: the pump with the thermostat or valve N488 is leaking. Adjusting the turbocharger pressure actuator often helps with engine power losses.
