Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the Z18XE engine according to the catalog is 125 kg. The engine number Z18XE is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The unit is known for its reliability, but it has a weak point - an unreliable ECU. The engine control unit often fails due to overheating, and a new one is expensive. The timing belt should be changed every 60,000 km, if you miss it, it can cause valve damage. The usual cause of engine fluctuating RPM is the throttle valve being dirty.
