Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the Z14XE engine according to the catalog is 110 kg. The engine number Z14XE is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. The cause of oil consumption is usually due to displaced oil control rings. A clogged EGR valve often causes a loss of power and fluctuating RPMs. The timing belt needs to be replaced every 60,000 km or in case of valve failure. Cheap engine oil can quickly cause hydraulic lifters to make noise. The engine periodically suffers from oil leaks, especially from under the valve cover.
