Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the C20NE engine according to the catalog is 120 kg. The engine number C20NE is located at the junction of the block with the cylinder head. The motor is reliable, without weak points, and all its problems are related to natural wear and tear. Drivers most often complain about the quirks of the ignition system, especially the distributor. Failures of various electronic sensors are in second place in popularity here. The timing belt lasts approximately 50-60 thousand km, but if it breaks, the valves will not bend. Due to the use of cheap oils, hydraulic lifters can start ticking up to 100 thousand km.
