Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the X22SE engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The engine number X22SE is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The engine does not like high revs, often causing a gasket blowout at high speeds. The exhaust manifold also tends to crack, and welding it is useless. The sudden oil consumption is usually caused by dislodged oil control caps. There are many problems with the timing belt, with phase misalignment and valve damage in case of belt breakage. If the engine starts to stall at certain revs, replacing the throttle position sensor will help.
