Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the X14XE engine according to the catalog is 115 kg. The engine number X14XE is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The main problem lies in the oil control seals that come off the valve guides. This leads to oil consumption and although owners attempt decarbonization, it does not help. The timing belt has a lifespan of only 60,000 km, and if it breaks, the valves are often bent. The cause of power loss and fluctuating engine speeds is a clogged EGR valve. The remaining breakdowns are usually related to ignition system failures and oil leaks.
