Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the Z22YH engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The engine number Z22YH is located on the oil filter housing. The most common problem with the engine is considered to be the tensioner chain of the timing belt. It is recommended to replace this tensioner immediately when diesel sounds are heard during the engine operation. If the power unit does not rev above 3000 rpm, the fuel injection pump (TNVD) has failed. The throttle valves of the Twinport system often become clogged and stuck, causing the car to become sluggish. Coolant in the spark plug wells is a sign of cylinder head gasket cracks, perhaps you have overtightened the spark plugs.
