Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the Z24SED engine according to the catalog is 155 kg. The engine number Z24SED is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. There are no reliability issues with the engine, the only drawback is that it tends to get cold easily. Owners usually complain about high fuel consumption and strong vibrations during operation. The rear crankshaft oil seal has a low lifespan and often starts leaking at around 70,000 km. According to the manual, the timing belt should be replaced at 120,000 km, but I recommend reducing the interval by half. The remaining breakdowns are related to oil leaks and a clogged crankcase ventilation system.
