Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine weight of FYDA according to the catalog is 105 kg. The Ford FYDA engine number is located at the front on the junction with the gearbox. The power unit is quite demanding in terms of fuel quality and does not like 92-octane gasoline. Because of this, spark plugs and individual ignition coils fail quickly. The reason for intermittent power losses is often in the fuel pump or its filters. The timing belt usually has a lifespan of less than 100,000 km, and if a valve breaks, it bends. There are no hydraulic lifters here, so the valves need to be adjusted every 90,000 km.
