The weight of the D4Ft engine according to the catalog is 91 kg. The engine number D4Ft is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. Electrical malfunctions. This engine is quite reliable and most of its problems are related to electrical issues. Sensors often fail, and the expensive ignition coil can also become faulty. Timing belt breakage. According to the manual, the timing belt should be replaced every 120,000 km, but it may break earlier. So, keep an eye on its condition as a belt failure in this engine always leads to valve damage. Noisy operation. The main cause of loud noises under the hood is improperly adjusted valves. To adjust them, not only the valve cover needs to be removed, but also the intake manifold. Minor breakdowns. In this unit, lubricant and coolant leaks are quite common. The auxiliary equipment often fails, and the fuel pump is not very reliable.
