Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the F3N engine according to the catalog is 122 kg. The engine number F3N is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. Unstable operation. There can be several culprits for the unstable operation of the engine. Usually, it's a glitch in the electronic injection system or a failure of the idle control regulator, but sometimes the cause is an air leak in the intake manifold or a cracked crankcase ventilation hose. Misfiring. Misfiring of the engine can be caused not only by bad spark plugs or high-voltage wires. Pay attention to the ignition distributor cap and the condition of the fuse block. Look for oxidized, burnt, or any suspicious contacts. Overheating. Malfunctions in the cooling system, especially the thermostat, often lead to overheating of the power unit. Sooner or later, the cylinder head will fail and the engine will have to be scrapped.
